Too Faced – Love Light Prismatic Highlighter Review

Too Faced – Love Light Prismatic Highlighter Review

There has been a lot of mixed reviews and thoughts about the NEW Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighters.  In all honesty, I can see why after trying them myself.  I love Too Faced.  When they hit the shelves in Australia, I could not wait to try one for myself. If you are undecided if this is a must have to your make up collection, then keep on reading! ๐Ÿ™‚

These gorgeous TF Prismatic Highlighters are available in three different shades.  ‘Blinded By The Light’ (White/Silver Shade), ‘Ray Of Light’ (Rose Gold Shade) and ‘You Light Up My Life’ (Gold Shade).  The TF Highlighters are packaged in a reflective heart shaped compact with a small mirror on the inner top lid.  Currently, they are retailing for $30USD with a net weight of 9g/0.32oz.

Too Faced claims:

“Love Light combines the best of powder, liquid, baked and cream formulas for an unparalleled radiance”.  They also recommend to use the White & Rose Gold Shade for fair to medium skin tones and rose gold & gold for medium to dark skin tones.

My thoughts

When deciding if this product is right for you really depends on what you are looking for in a highlighter.  The choice will likely come down to preference and your budget. (Or if you are a Too Faced collector!)

The Love Light Highlighters in my opinion are very subtle and buildable.  If you are looking for a more natural, controllable glow then this may be the highlighter for you as these are not very blinding regardless of the name.  I personally love the ‘Blinded By The Light’ for everyday/casual use.  I do use it on a daily basis but I do have to really build it up for the product to be noticeable to my liking.

When trying the other two shades, I did not notice much glow or pigment especially in the rose gold ‘Ray of Light’ shade. In my opinion, The ‘Blinded by the Light’ and the ‘You Light Up My Life’ shades were definitely my picks out of the three.

I found that this highlighter made a few of my pores very noticeable so I do recommend avoiding larger pores when applying the powder.  Although, I did love that it wasn’t chalky and it really does add a natural glow to my skin while sitting on the foundation nicely.

I probably would not use the Love Light Highlighters for a night out when I want a more dramatic look.  However, I am happy that I purchased it for a more subtle make up look when I am not looking for a glittery affect.
